The effectiveness of how ailments are applied are now relevant depending on the strength of your attack. This can be either to change the ailment or to increase its effect. In addition, ailments now stack and can be applied multiple times. Poison – The target gains a long duration damage-over-time effect with a high total amount of damageĬertain ailments are guaranteed to be applied when specific effects are executed, such as throwing your shield, which can inflict certain ailments.Shock – Increases Breach damage taken by the target and applies a damage-over-time effect.Chill – Slows the target’s movement and attack speed and applies a damage-over-time effect.Curse – Decreases the damage dealt by the target and applies a damage-over-time effect.Bleed – Increases the damage taken by the target and applies a damage-over-time effect.Ignite – The target gains a short duration, high intensity damage-over-time effect.

This new feature comes with 56 new skins across all Valorplates which are free to be unlocked by players and is a part of the Lightbringer update, while there are 30 cosmetic skins that are exclusive to the Fire & Darkness DLC. The brand new Fire & Darkness DLC, as well as the Lightbringer Update, introduces a new feature that allows players to customize the look of their Valorplates which are Valorplate Skins.
Once all the curses have been cleansed, the item turns into an "Awakened Item" which is deemed to be the most powerful items you can acquire in the game.
